The Only Source Of Good

Has anything good ever happened to you or come to you? Are you grateful to God? He is the only source of good. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are all God and all three members of the Godhead are good. When individuals enjoy good gifts and perfect gifts but don*t acknowledge where they come from and get eternally connected to the source, they make a tragic mistake. They commit an unforgivable sin.

Mark 10:18: And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Romans 3:12: They (men) are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 7:18a: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: . . .

James 1:17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Matthew 5:45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Luke 6:35: But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Many good and perfect things are given to ALL men, but those who reject Christ will only be able to enjoy them temporarily. The absence of any good and perfect thing in the Lake of Fire will seem much worse to its inhabitants because they enjoyed some good and perfect gifts for a little while. Perhaps they would be better off if they had never known there were any good and perfect gifts. Then they would not know what they rejected.

Individuals who receive Christ will have good gifts and perfect gifts forever. There are two package deals, reject Christ and have good and perfect gifts for only a little while and then be separated from the ONLY Giver of them forever. Or receive Christ and have good and perfect gifts AND the Giver of them forever. The choice should be easy.

Psalms 16:11: Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
